Hostess' needed to attract new consumers, quickly and on a tight budget. Making a shift this large requires a big scene, so efforts were focused on the world’s largest millennial stage: SXSW. And by leveraging social influencer Megan Battoon, the event activation became a national attraction. The result was thousands and thousands of social views, loads of Twinkies sampled, and a whole new generation engaging with the brand.
